Unidine has made an investment in City Fresh Foods, purchasing a 49 percent stake in the company. City Fresh Foods will utilize Unidine’s resources to expand its base of dining service clients who seek the services of minority-owned business enterprises, specifically in the education, senior service, government and business dining sectors.

Based in Dorchester, Massachusetts, City Fresh Foods serves freshly made, nutritionally sound and ethnically diverse meals to more than 35 clients in the Boston area. Recognized by Inc. magazine as one of the “Top Urban Businesses” nationally in 2002, 2003 and 2005, City Fresh Foods is the only food service company in the country to offer dining service programs with a variety of traditional and ethnic menu choices.

In 2006, Unidine purchased Celebrations Gourmet Catering, LLC, a renowned corporate and social gourmet catering company based in Beverly, Massachusetts. Celebrations provides upscale catering cuisine and event planning to fine homes, corporations and off-premise venues in the Greater Boston area.
