Executive Chef
This position plays an
integral and leading role in managing the entire food service
operation while ensuring client and customer satisfaction
and meeting company and regulatory agency regulations.
As Executive Chef, you
will have full responsibility of Kitchen Operations, menu development
and all recipes.
- Provide leadership and guidance to one subordinate team members
in the preparation and serving of high quality and great tasting
meals according to dietary restrictions.

Identify
and correct defects, implement continuous quality improvement
procedures and maintain appropriate sanitation and safety levels
in all dietary department areas.

Utilize
your excellent retail operation background to create and maintain
a appealing and profitable dining operation.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
2+ years related experience
and/or training at Executive Chef level or equivalent level (preferably
in a Long Term Care or Acute Care environment); or equivalent
combination of education and experience. An undergraduate degree
in Food Science, Nutrition, Culinary Arts or Hotel/Restaurant
Management is highly desirable. In absence of a bachelor's degree,
a candidate must have an Associate's Degree and have completed
the Certified Dietetic Manager program (or state equivalent).
PC SKILLS:
Position requires working
knowledge of the following applications: MS Office (e.g., MS Word,
Excel, E-mail, data base management). Incumbents will use the
Undine software regularly.
- A minimum of two years retail food service management experience.
- The desire to provide exceptional service and exceed client
and customer expectations.
- The ability to manage in a diverse work environment while
remaining focused on client and customer services and satisfaction.
- Experience in planning a variety of menu and utilizing an
array of tools including computer software (MS Word, Excel and
Outlook).
- Thorough understanding of a retail operation and possess a
keen understanding of purchasing.
LICENSES:
Valid driver's
license
ServSafe certification
Any required
state/local certifications or registrations
